Conference: ‘Unity’ Among Islamic Clerics Will Be ‘In Focus’ As Ibrahim Makari, AbdulRazzaq Alaro, Others Get Set To Gather In Ilorin Nov 19
Grand Chief Imam of the National Mosque, Abuja, Professor Ibrahim Ahmed Makari, Sheikh Fuhad Adeyemi, Sheikh AbdulKadir El-Salman Alfa Oba Solagberu, the first Mallami Ubandoma of Ilorin Emirate, Sheikh Ahmed Olarewaju Abdulrahman, National Missioner Ansar ur-Deen Society of Nigeria, Professor AbdulRazzaq AbdulMajeed Alaro, a lecturer at the Faculty of Law, University of Ilorin, will be among the session chairs and discussants at an upcoming event called ‘Ilorin National Muslim Peace Conference’.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the event which has Dr. Salihu Alabi Hammed, a lecturer at the Department of Politics and Governance, Kwara State University, Malete as its convener, is scheduled to hold on November 19, 2024.
The conference which will hold at De Peace Hotel & Suites, Ilorin, was a direct result of Dr. Salihu Alabi Hammed’s PhD research topic ‘Analysis of Conflicts Among Muslim Clerics (Ulama) in Ilorin’ in which he had among other things stated the need to organize a National Conference to address the recurring conflicts among Muslim clerics in the country which are caused by indoctrination, radicalization, extremism, ideological, political, economic and affiliation with international organizations.
Recognizing the fact that communication is key to building unity, the attendees of the conference will be discussing how to achieve unity, peace, and promote dialogue and understanding among Islamic clerics and all the Muslims in the country.
