Confirmation Hearing: Urum Eke Withdraws From Consideration For CBN Board

A consultant with the World Bank, Mr Urum Eke, on Thursday, disclosed his decision to withdraw his nomination as a member of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN

Recall that President Bola Tinubu had, on February 13, forwarded the names of Eke and four others to the Senate for confirmation as members of the board of the apex bank.
However, during the confirmation hearing on Thursday, Senator Orji Kalu, who represents Abia North, told the Senate that Eke, who is from his senatorial district, had telephoned him to announce withdrawal of his nomination, noting that it would conflict with his present job as a consultant with the World Bank–Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
