Court Orders PDP To Put National Convention In Abeyance To Allow Sule Lamido Obtain Chairmanship Nomination Form, ‘Market’ His Candidacy
The PDP National Convention imbroglio continued on Friday with Justice Peter Lifu of the Federal High Court, Abuja ordering the party to put its upcoming national convention in abeyance to allow former governor Sule Lamido, who had shown interest in becoming the National Chairman of the party, to not only obtain the chairmanship nomination form but also ‘market’ his candidacy to party members.
The party’s national convention is scheduled to hold in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, between November 15 and 16, 2025
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Justice Peter Lifu in his ruling on Friday however noted that it is important that PDP complies with its Constitution and Guidelines in respect of the convention.
He ordered that the convention should be put in abeyance until Alhaji Sule Lamido is allowed to obtain the nomination form.

The Judge also ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) not to supervise or monitor the convention until the former Jigawa State governor is allowed to participate in the process.
The PDP, the judge noted, is under strict obligation to adhere to its own rules and regulations by giving opportunities to eligible party members to realize their aspirations-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
