Crusade Attendees Tricked Into Parting With Phones, Money In Ibadan…Pastor’s Whereabouts Unknown

A pastor, Dr Owen Abraham, has had his name mentioned in connection with using God’s name to take possession of  52 phones including android and  iphones, money, and valuables belonging to unsuspecting attendees of the crusade he organized in Ibadan, Oyo state.

Team@orientactualmags.com  learned the  crusade  was held  in the Aponrin area of Agbowo , Ibadan.

‘If gold rusts, what can iron do’ , you would say.

Dr Owen Abraham had claimed  that he was led by  the Holy Spirit  to come to Ibadan from Gambia  and on the last day of the three-day crusade,  he  disclosed that the same  Holy Spirit  had directed him to tell  them  to submit their phones and valuables.

They had done this willingly after three days of fasting and prayer.

A victim, Mrs Grace Akintola said widows  attended the crusade because the pastor had  promised to give each person a bag of rice and money,  while promising to give students scholarships.

‘The pastor approached an Igbo lady in our area to assist him to gather widows and students, he said he wanted to help us.

Someone in my area invited me for the crusade, the organizer said he will buy house for one of us, he said the house is fully- furnished.

He promised some people who attended the crusade that he will give them money, even politicians cannot give out the money he had  promised.

The last day of the crusade, he sold a bottled water to us at the rate of N4,800, he said perfume is inside the bottled water, many people paid for the bottled water’ she added.

Another victim, a student  at the University of Ibadan (UI) , who  spoke on condition of  anonymity, said the pastor ordered them to fast for three days, and  collected their phones so as to  allow them focus on the prayers, unknown to them that it was a trick to  take possession  of their belongings.

‘He said no phone should ring, that was why he collected all the phones, in fact, a lady stood up and wanted to snap him, but he seized the phone from her.

On the last day of the crusade, he said he wanted to go and rest at the hotel where he lodged, he later said he wanted to go and eat at UI, we did not know how he escaped with our belongings.
