The Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) has cautioned the Osun state APC against threatening to Impeach, the state Governor-elect, former senator Ademola Adeleke because he had disclosed plans to sack the newly elected local government officials in the state once he takes office.
CUPP in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by its spokesman, Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere, described the impeachment threat by those he referred to as ‘Oyetola boys in the Osun State House of Assembly’ as a provocative joke, warning the lawmakers to stop the idea of planning to destabilize the incoming administration.
CUPP called Governor Oyetola the worst loser, ‘who’s busy setting traps here and there for the incoming Governor’.
While submitting that Oyetola’s plans will be frustrated totally, the coalition added that ‘he’s fighting a lost and imaginary battle and should focus on vacating office next month’.
“Oyetola and the APC are fighting a lost battle, Oyetola stole Adeleke’s mandate in 2019, four years after he wants to repeat the same thing. Oyetola and his APC- led administration should gear up to vacate office gracefully on November 27, rather than disgracing himself. The Osun gubernatorial election held in July was free and fair. The people voted for who they want, which is Adeleke.
When Adeleke is sworn in as Governor, he has the right to do whatever he wants. After all, the conduct of the local government elections was marred with illegality. The impeachment threat cannot validate the recently concluded Osun local government elections that was held in Oyetola bedroom’ the statement said- Team@orientactualmags.com
