Decision To Relocate Venue For Jibrin Barau’s Wedding Not Connected With Tax Reform Bills Imbroglio-Bayero Family

 The decision to relocate the venue for the wedding ceremony of Maryam Nasir Ado Bayero, daughter of late Emir Ado Bayero, and Jibrin Barau Jibrin, son of the Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin from Kano to Abuja has nothing to do with the tax reform bills imbroglio, the Bayero family, has submitted.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the family made this clarification in a statement issued by the Sarkin Dawaki Babba of Kano Alhaji Aminu Dan Agundi on Monday.

Dan Agundi, who is also the chairman of the organizing committee set up by the Bayero family,  noted that they made the decision in question in line with tradition, and it had no input from the groom’s family.

‘That the decision to change the location of our daughter’s wedding ceremony from Kano to Abuja was purely and solely the decision of our families and not that of our daughter’s would-be husband’s family – the Deputy President of the Senate.

Based on our tradition, the responsibility of picking the venue or location of the wedding rests on the shoulders of the bride’s family’ he said.

Dan Agundi emphasized that the decision to hold the wedding in Abuja on Friday, December 13, was made weeks ago in order to accommodate guests travelling from across Nigeria and abroad.

He urged the public to stop politicizing the wedding, noting that marriage is a sacred religious practice and should not be linked with political issues like the Tax Reform Bills.
