Defection Rumours: I’ve Taken Decision To Withhold Comments, Viral Press Statement Not From Me-Kwankwaso

A prominent politician in the country, Alhaji Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has reacted to the viral press statement in which it was claimed that he commented on his rumoured plans to leave NNPP for APC.

Kwankwaso, a former minister and a one-time governor of Kano State, has clarified and submitted that he has taken a decision to withhold comments and he is yet to say anything in respect of the 2027 presidential election or plans to stay or leave the NNPP.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the former governor and senator made this clarification in an X.com post on Saturday.

‘My attention has been drawn to a statement purportedly stating my position on the recurring political realignments. I wish to categorically state that such statements are false, unfounded, and products of political mischief.

I have refrained from commenting on contemporary political events, and I will continue to do so for the time being.

I urge the public to only engage statements that come from my public handles and other official sources’ he wrote.

In the meanwhile, author of the controversial statement, Ibrahim Rabiu, has also apologized for issuing the misleading statement.

‘I, Ibrahim Rabiu, wish to inform the general public that I was never authorized by Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso to issue and release a statement on his behalf.
