Delta LG Elections: Viral Election Timetable Not From US, Ignore It- DSIEC
The Delta state Independent Electoral Commission DSIEC, has described the viral election timetable and schedule of activities for the 2024 Local Government elections in the state as fake.
Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Jerry Agbaike in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com said the purported election timetable is fake and did not emanate from the commission.
The statement added that the commission is yet to take a definitive decision with respect to the date for the LG elections and would inform the general public once this is done.
‘The attention of the Delta state Independent Electoral Commission, DSIEC, has been drawn to a document containing the outlines of a ‘proposed public notice of election timetable and schedule of activities for the 2024 Local Government Elections’ purportedly issued by the Delta state Independent Electoral Commission.
The fake ‘public notice’ which has gone viral on numerous social media handles is hereby refuted by the Commission and should be totally disregarded.
We wish to inform the general public that the Delta state Independent Electoral Commission is yet to fix any date for the conduct of the 2024 Local Government Elections.
