Despite Being Gangster Actor, I Only Drink Alcohol When I Feel Shy At Public Events– Soji Omo Banke
Nollywood actor, Soji Taiwo aka ‘Omo Banke’ has asserted that notwithstanding being a great gangster actor, he does not smoke ‘anything’ and only takes alcohol when he attends public events and somewhat feels shy.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned the top actor , who said this during an interview with the BBC Yoruba, noted that his gangster’s movie character is different from what obtains in real life..
‘When I go out, and I’m feeling shy I take a sip of alcohol that will not have an effect on me , make me misbehave or get drunk’ he said.
Soji explained that he had played the role of a lover boy ditto a gentleman before settling for a gangster.
Film producers , he noted, had given him one or two scenes but he never got a lead role until God shone His light on him.
He thanked the late Alhaji Yekeen Ajileye for the important role he played in his acting career.
‘Ajileye gave me a big break with Eran Iya Oshogbo and in that movie I killed Iya Gbonke’s cat because she was a witch and I gave her voice that was how I got my Omo Banke’s nickname’ he said- Team@orientactualmags.com
