DSUST Honours Delta Governor’s Wife With Honorary Ambassador Award
The Delta State University of Science and Technology, DSUST, Ozoro, has honoured the First Lady of the state, Mrs Tobore Oborevwori with honorary ambassador award.
A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com noted that Mrs Oborevwori was honoured with the award on Tuesday at the University main campus in Ozoro, Isoko North Local Government, noting that this was done in recognition of her charity works and outstanding accomplishments in women development and girl child empowerment.
The award which was at the behest of the University’s Directorate of Gender and Development Studies, was presented by Dr Mrs Justina Oboreh.
Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Jacob Oboreh, who thanked Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for the support given to the school so far, assured that plans are under way to introduce more programmes and expand the University’s operations.
Receiving the award, Mrs Oborevwori, thanked the University for finding her worthy to be so honoured, assuring that she would continue to identify with the nascent institution.
Represented by wife of the Deputy Governor, Mrs Catherine Onyeme, Mrs Oborevwori expressed support for the program geared towards promoting gender equity and development across the state.
‘This is one of the visions of my husband, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in empowering women, girl child and fostering development in our dear state.
