Economic Hardship: We’ll Turn The Corner Soon, NIWA Boss Assures Nigerians
Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the National Inland Waterways Authority, (NIWA), Mr. Bola Oyebamiji has urged patience on the part of Nigerians noting that the economic hardships they are currently facing will soon end while assuring them that relief is on the way.
Mr. Oyebamiji also noted that the measures being taken by the federal government would get the country out of the lingering economic crisis while asserting that anyone who takes a decision to join the ruling APC has shown patriotism saying, it is a party of hope, a party of tomorrow and a party of future’.
The NIWA boss told journalists including Team@orientactualmags.com at the defection ceremony held for Barrister Kayode Oduoye and his supporters at the Holy Trinity Secondary School, Ikirun on Sunday that President Bola Tinubu has taken his time to get things done while adding that the nation will turn the corner soon and the citizens will enjoy dividends of democracy.
He added that ‘an economist’ will know that decisive decisions have been taken on the real sectors of the economy while the government has already stabilized the nation’s economy.
Commenting on Barrister Kayode Oduoye’s defection to the APC, Mr Oyebamiji said ‘we feel great, and happy as politicians. It is a big occasion, and it is a signal of victory for the party in the 2026 gubernatorial election’.
Mr Oyebamiji , who asserted that only the people will determine who becomes their leader and not ‘deep pockets’ also said Osun state people must have begun to appreciate and have favourable opinion of Mr Gboyega Oyetola after leaving office citing how some people in the state celebrated when Chief Bisi Akande lost re-election only to later get true position of things and appreciate his good works-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
