Edo APC Chairman To Cabinet Members: Wear ‘Native Cap’ Emblazoned With ‘Asiwaju’ Logo Or Get Suspended From Our Party
Members of the Edo State Executive Council have been advised to attach importance to the directive to wear ‘native cap’ emblazoned with ‘Asiwaju’ logo or stay away from cabinet meetings.
However, anyone sent out of the ‘cabinet meeting’ for failing to wear ‘native cap’ emblazoned with ‘Asiwaju’ logo will also get suspended from the APC, chairman of the party in the state, Jarrett Tenebe, has submitted.
The logo in question which is synonymous with President Bola Tinubu was introduced during his days as governor of Lagos State.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Hon Tenebe, who said this during a television interview, also noted that it will be considered as an act of indiscipline and insubordination for cabinet members not to follow instructions.
‘If you refuse to wear the cap as the governor has directed, we will suspend you. That is indiscipline and insubordination.
We are doing it because we have made a promise that 3.5 million votes are guaranteed for President Bola Tinubu. Everybody has keyed into realizing the 3.5 million votes.
If, as a member of the APC, you got an appointment, you are supposed to be loyal to the President.
We are expressing our loyalty to the President by wearing the cap. Those complaining are not members of the APC. We, in Edo, have made it clear. No Asiwaju cap, no Exco’ he said.
Recall that Governor Monday Okpebholo had during the swearing in ceremony of the newly appointed commissioners and heads of commissions and boards of agencies in Benin city, the state capital, a few days ago, asked members of the State Executive Council to wear ‘native cap’ emblazoned with ‘Asiwaju’ logo or stay away from cabinet meetings-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
