EFCC Arrests Woman For Abusing Naira In Gombe

A woman,  Janty Emmanuel , has been arrested and taken into custody by the anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC), in Gombe.

 She was  arrested for allegedly abusing the naira.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Emmanuel was arrested on Monday, May 20, 2024, after she was seen spray Naira notes at a social event.

Head,  Media & Publicity,  EFCC, Dele Oyewale disclosed this in a statement he issued in Abuja on  Tuesday.

‘Upon arrest, the suspect was shown the video where she was dancing at G-Connect, Tumfure, Gombe state and spraying Naira notes of N1,000 denomination. She admitted to committing the crime. She will be taken to court as soon as investigations are concluded’ the statement said.

Recall that Idris Olanrewaju Okuneye , a transgender woman and a LGBT personality, who is  popularly called  Bobrisky,  was arrested and detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission , EFCC, on Wednesday, April 3, 2024.   He was invited  sequel to the video  that was taken while he was spraying new naira notes at the premiere of Eniola Ajao’s movie titled, ‘Ajakaju’, on March 24, 2024.

The event  was held at FilmOne Circle Mall, Lekki, Lagos,

Recall also  that  Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court , Lagos, declared Bobrsiky  convicted on Friday, April 12, 2024.

Pascal Okechukwu, popularly called  Cubana Chief Priest,  was also arrested by the EFCC and had charges preferred against him.

He allegedly sprayed and tampered with the naira notes during a social event that was held at the Eko Hotel , Lagos.
