Eid-el-Fitr: Governor Adeleke Felicitates Muslims
Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has congratulated Muslims in the state and beyond on the successful completion of this year’s fasting period, noting that fasting for 29 days was a divine grace for spiritual renewal.
Governor Adeleke congratulated Muslim faithful for the ease with which Allah has made the observance of one of the pillars of Islam, urging them to sustain the culture of giving and selflessness that characterized the Holy month.
The governor enjoins Osun State people to use the occasion of the Eid-el-Fitr to pray for enduring peace and sustainable development for Osun State and Nigeria as a whole, urging Muslims to use their respective ‘praying grounds’ and homes to seek the face of Allah subhanawatahallah ‘to frustrate renewed efforts of some selfish political actors to throw our state into chaos out of desperation to seize power through the backdoor’.
The governor in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed urged the people not to be despaired by the antics of selfish politicians who are bent on reversing the trend of progress in the state, but rather maintain faith in Allah who is the most powerful, while declaring his unwavering commitment to the mission of moving Osun State to a greater height.
‘In praise to Allah subhanawatahallah, I congratulate Osun Muslim Ummah for the grace of witnessing the conclusion of this year’s Holy month of Ramadan. The 29-day of fasting is Allah’s way of bringing us closer to Him in worship and impressing on us the significance of charity.
While the time for celebration is here, it is however important to impress on faithful to make good meaning of the invaluable lessons that the Holy month afforded and let the culture of selfless service, peace and love for fellow human beings be reflected in you always.
