Eid-el-Fitr: Kebbi Governor Congratulates Muslims, Preaches Peace, Unity

Kebbi state governor, Dr.Nasir Idris,  the Kauran Gwandu, has emphasized  the need for the people of the state and other Nigerians to engage in acts  that will promote permanent peace and unity in the country.

He gave this advice in his happy eid-li-fitri message to the people of  the state and  other Nigerians .

Eid-li-fitri festival which holds tomorrow  marks the successful end  of the  holy month of Ramadan . 

Dr. Idris in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com  by his Special Adviser on Media, Mr Yahaya Sarki  noted   that peace remains the most veritable foundation for socio-economic development in the nation, saying that without this, such a development will elude the citizens.

He also called on the citizens  to sustain fervent prayers for the sustenance of security, tranquility , prosperity and peace in the state and the country as a whole. 

The Kauran Gwandu submitted that the present economic hardship in the country  is not peculiar to Nigeria, assuring that appropriate measures have been taken by the relevant authorities to ease the hardship and bring the situation back to normal.

He also  added that his administration has in the past ten months taken incisive strategies to mitigate the hardship and improve the livelihood of the people in the state.

Governor Nasir Idris also  reaffirmed the resolve of his administration to continue to bring succour to all communities in the state to enhance their wellbeing. 

He also noted that the ongoing free distribution of  assorted grains as  a way of easing things for  the people of the state would be sustained in a bid to make life more easier and gainful for them.

Idris added that  in order to mitigate the hardship of the people of the state due to the present economic situation, Kebbi state Government has bought assorted grains of more than N12 billion and distributed  to all communities for free. 

This kind gesture, he noted,  would be a routine one aimed at improving the livelihood of all residents in the state irrespective of political or religious affinity. 

On security, Dr. Idris said his administration remains unwaveringly committed to taking any actions humanly possible to ensure that the people of the state sleep with their two eyes closed.

‘This involves the provision of logistics support for the security agencies and vigilante members such as operational vehicles and motorcycles.  

This is our utmost constitutional duty and we will never falter in diligently executing it to the best of our ability and in the fulfillment of  our solemn pledge to the people.
