
Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has once again, appreciated professors that accepted to serve, get involved and help to handle things in the education sector in Kebbi state which had helped to improve the quality of basic education as well as the performance of pupils and students in the state.
Bagudu’s Special Adviser on Media, Mr. Yahaya Sarki noted in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com that the governor said this on Monday when the professors, who are chairmen of Local Government Education Authorities LGEAs including the State consultant of the Better Education Service Delivery for All, BESDA, Professor Abubakar Abdullahi Bagudo and the Chairman of the State Primary Education Board, SUBEB, Professor Suleiman Khalid Jega paid him Sallah homage at the Government House, Birnin Kebbi .
The governor thanked them while noting that their involvement in education matters in the state has helped to achieve remarkable results.
Their administrative skills as distinguished Professors of different callings have made it easier to address some educational matters expeditiously.
Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu added that he has interacted with teachers who attributed the immense progress recorded in the education sector to the participation of the professors in the management of education in the state.
The governor thanked them for the Sallah homage and for presenting souvenir to him.

Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Hon. Hassan Muhammad Shalla commended the University Dons for accepting to assist the government in surmounting challenges in the education sector.
The commissioner also commended Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu for placing premium on the education sector and attaching importance to matters that have to do with education.
The governor has according to him paid examination fees of thirty-five thousand pupils , paid all the required fees for WAEC, NECO, and other examination bodies while contractors engaged in school feeding programme have also been paid.

Executive Chairman of the state SUBEB, Professor Suleiman Khalid Jega said the professors were at the Government House, to rejoice with the governor on the occasion of Eid-el Fitr, and on the resounding election victory that the APC earned at the federal and state levels.
He thanked the governor for his ingenious leadership, recruitment strategy for giving the professors an opportunity to serve their communities and the state in the education sector.
Professor Suleiman Jega further thanked him for supporting the emergence of a professional teacher, Kauran Gwandu, as his successor.
The SUBEB Chairman also said the governor has ensured development of the education sector while thanking him for being the most academic -friendly governor in the history of Kebbi state.
Also speaking, Professor Abubakar Abdullahi Bagudo informed the governor that the performance of Kebbi state in the BESDA programme excited the World Bank which had since awarded the first position to the state.
Kebbi state has according to him returned more than eight hundred thousand out-of-school pupils back to the classroom out of the estimated 1.19 million pupils.
