Eid-ul-fitr : Osun Speaker Congratulates Muslims, Urges Them To Hold Fast To Ramadan Virtues, Lessons
Following the end of the holy month of Ramadan which marks the completion of the fasting period, the Speaker of Osun state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun, has extended his warm greetings to Muslims across Osun state and Nigeria as a whole on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
In a statement issued in Osogbo and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Olamide Tiamiyu, Rt. Hon. Egbedun congratulated the Muslim community in Osun state on completing the month-long spiritual journey of fasting, self-reflection, and piety.
He commended their resilience and devotion during this sacred period and urged them to carry forward the lessons of compassion, unity, and self-discipline.
The speaker noted that the Eid-el-Fitr celebration signifies the importance of gratitude and charity, encouraging everyone to remember and assist those who are less fortunate.
He also emphasized the significance of fostering peaceful coexistence and understanding among diverse communities, which, he noted, is central to the teachings of Islam.
‘On this auspicious occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, I extend my warmest greetings to our Muslim brothers and sisters across Osun state and Nigeria as a whole. As we celebrate the end of the holy month of Ramadan, let us carry forward the lessons of compassion, unity, and self-discipline, and continue to foster peace and understanding among our diverse communities’ he said.
Rt. Hon. Egbedun called on Muslims to continue observing the necessary public health guidelines and precautions while celebrating with their families and loved ones.
He has also reaffirmed his commitment to working with all stakeholders in the state to promote unity, development, and prosperity for the people of Osun state.
