Ekiti Chief Judge, Oyewole Adeyeye, Dies 15 Months After Getting Injured In Building Collapse
The Chief Judge of Ekiti State , Jutice Oyewole Adeyeye, is dead.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that he died at a health facility in the state on Monday November 4, 2024, after a short illness.
Oyewole , an indigene of Araromi Ugbesi, Ekiti East Local Government , was sworn in as the state Chief Judge by former governor Kayode Fayemi on October 11 2021.
The late Chief Judge, who was born in 1960, was called to the bar in 1986.
He has died 15 months after getting injured in his office at the state high court complex, Ado -Ekiti when a section of the building collapsed.
The building collapse that happened in July 2023, was rainfall-induced, and Oyewole was rushed to a private hospital for medical attention.
He reportedly had poor heath since the incident.
Although the state government has not officially announced the death of the head of the state judicial arm of government, the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) , Ekiti State chapter, has extended its condolences to the Adeyeye family.
