Emir of Yauri Honours Humanitarian Affairs Minister, Kebbi Lawmaker, Former Senator With Chieftaincy Titles In Yauri
The Emir of Yauri, Dr. Muhammadu Zayyanu Abdullahi, has honoured three prominent figures in Kebbi State with chieftaincy titles.
.A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Sunday noted that the new title holders are; Dr. Yusuf Tanko Sununu, Minister of State for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, who was turbaned as ‘Dan Madamin Yauri ‘, former Senator Bala Ibn Na’Allah who was honoured with the title of ‘Bauran Yauri, and the representative of Yauri state constituency in Kebbi State House of Assembly, Hon. Adamu Birnin Yauri , who is now the ‘Lahiddan Yauri’.
The event was graced by Kebbi State governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, the Kauran Gwandu; Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda; Secretary to Kebbi State Government, Alhaji Bala Tafida Yauri; Head of Service, TPL Malami Shekare; the Emir of Argungu, Alhaji Sama’ila Muhammadu Mera; Commissioners, Special Advisers, and other dignitaries.
In his address, the Emir of Yauri expressed joy and congratulated the new title holders, urging them to foster development, peace, and unity within the emirate and beyond.
‘I urge all traditional title holders to serve as agents of development for their people and domain’ the Emir said.
The monarch also commended Governor Nasir Idris for his commitment to the development of the emirate, pledging the support of the Yauri Emirate Council for his administration.
Speaking on behalf of the new title holders, Dr. Yusuf Tanko Sununu, Dan Madamin Yauri, expressed gratitude to the Emir for the confidence reposed in them and pledged to work for the progress of the emirate.
He also thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for reappointing him as a minister, calling on Nigerians to embrace farming to boost food security and eliminate hunger.
