The church service was presided over by Rt. Reverend Isaac Akin Falana Bishop of Ifako Diocese of the African Church, who was assisted by the Cathedral Provost, Venerable S.A Adeyemi and Cathedral Warden, Adeniran Somefun.

In his short sermon, Venerable S.A Adeyemi expressed concern over the high rate of divorce among couples in the country especially weddings held at churches and mosques which are expected to be holy matrimonies, while submitting that it is wrong for young couples to consider divorce as the best solution to any minor disagreement in their marriage.

.

He urged couples to learn to settle disagreements through dialogue and endurance rather than considering divorce while noting that there is no perfect marriage anywhere.

. Couples should according to him endeavour to study and know their partners very well and strengthen the bond between them.

‘Couples cannot behave the same way. They should only try to understand each other, ensure unity and show tolerance.  a man is expected to love his wife and a woman is expected to show respect to her husband. These are quite very important’ he said.

Venerable S.A Adeyemi also emphasized the need for couples to kneel down and pray when there are issues troubling them and jointly seek solutions and find a way to end a disagreement and become friendly again.

The event also had a ‘special feature’ as an audio guestbook was provided for guests to send wishes and pray for the new couple.

Guests pick up the phone and hear a custom pre-recorded message , they thereafter leave their thoughts , messages and prayers for the couple.

It’s a receiver message and also a welcoming message for all parties. You can make use of it to send your prayers and wishes to the couple.

We will give them the audio after the event and the advantage is that it’s a new technology that can be kept forever’ Busola, who was in charge of the audio guestbook told Team@orientactualmags.com.

‘We are here for the exchange of marriage vows between Folorunsho Alabi and Oluwaseun Ibukunoluwami.  I want to advise them to be sincere, respect and be patient with each other. My prayer for them is that their union will be blessed forever, and I also pray that they will remain friends forever. This is the first wedding ceremony in Babatunde Family, and it will be the beginning of good events by the Grace of God. They will not remember this day for sorrow but for good, in Jesus’ name’ the bride’s aunt, Mrs. Oluwakemi Bisi Oyewale Babatunde also submitted.

Bolutife Margaret Babatunde, a medical doctor, who is based in the United Kingdom, also congratulated her sister, Oluwaseun Ibukunoluwa and wished a happy married life.

Mrs. Oluwakemi Bisi Oyewale Babatunde

‘I feel very excited and elated that my sister is getting married today because seeing the couple I just see pure love. They’re very happy together. Although they might have their challenges, but love has been covering everything. I’m just so happy, so excited that my only sister is getting married.

My advice to them is that they should remember that God Himself is the one that started the institution of marriage, so, He’s the who can help them navigate through this new chapter of their lives. My advice to them is to put God first and be prayerful and choose to remain in love’ she said.

Bolutife

Did Bolutife approve of Folorunso the first time she met him? ‘Well, the first time I met him, I didn’t have any complaints, but being my only sister, I had to be careful with the people I  would not just approve of him like that ,so, I didn’t want to give my final approval the first time I met him but actually I saw that they complement each other and they would do well together. I didn’t have any difficulty or hesitation in supporting the relationship’ she responded-Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
