Establishment Of NHIS Zonal Office In Birnin Kebbi Excites Gov Idris

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has described the establishment of the Northwest Zonal Office of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) in Birnin Kebbi as a welcome development.
A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Mr Yahaya Sarki noted that Idris as part of his administration’s support for the agency has also announced the donation of ₦20 million to procure, generator, equipment and furniture for the new office.
The governor also presented the Digital Certificate of Occupancy issued by the Kebbi Geographical Information System (KEBGIS), to the NHIS officials, formalizing their legal ownership of the office premises.

ring the official ceremony held in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday, Governor Idris thanked the Federal Ministry of Health for choosing Kebbi State as location for the zonal office.
‘I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Honourable Minister of Health for recognizing Kebbi as a suitable location for this important office. This is a historic milestone and a great privilege for our state’ he said.
The governor further emphasized his administration’s commitment to supporting the NHIS and improving healthcare delivery in the state.
‘I understand the urgent need for furniture and equipment for the office. As such, I have approved ₦20 million for this purpose, and I have directed the Honourable Commissioner for Finance to ensure that the funds are released immediately.
