Ex- Foreign Affairs Minister Commends Gov Nasiru Idris For Getting Off To A Good Start

A former Minister  for Foreign Affairs, Alhaji Buhari Bala, has expressed his readiness to support Governor  Nasir Idris in respect of his efforts to ensure good governance and deliver dividends of democracy to the Kebbi state people.

Speaking to journalists including Team@orientactualmags.com  at his  Birnin Kebbi residence on  Saturday,  Bala a one-time National Treasurer of the PDP, noted that Dr. Nasir Idris deserves commendation  for what he has done in his first one month in office.

This, he noted, was in view of the significant landmarks so far recorded  under his leadership.

Alhaji Buhari Bala, who said he prefers to be called an elder statesman, advised the people of the state, especially the political class to emulate the leadership style of Governor Nasir Idris aimed at fast- tracking the development of the state.

The former Minister noted that he was delighted about the job opportunities provided to the young people by the current  administration through the evacuation of refuse from drainages in Birnin Kebbi.

He, however, urged the state government to use modern methods  with regard to the construction of drainages noting that open drainages have  become outdated  because people have turned them into toilets and  dumping sites.

Alhaji Buhari Bala described Governor Nasir Idris as a humble and honourable personality, who has huge respect for all classes of people.

He also expressed confidence in the ability, commitment and sincerity of Dr. Nasir Idris to perform creditably and efficiently for the overall socio-economic prosperity and progress of Kebbi state- Team@orientactualmags.com
