Ex-Police Watchdog Chief ,Michael Lockwood, Faces Charges…He’s Been Accused Of Raping Young Girl 40 Years Ago
Former head of the police watchdog in England and Wales, Michael Lockwood, has been charged with raping a girl under 16 and this has been described as indecent assault.
Michael Lockwood, who is the former director general of the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), has been charged with nine sexual offences allegedly committed during the 1980s, the Crown Prosecution Service said.
He faces six counts of indecent assault and three offences of rape against the girl.
Michael Lockwood, who is 64-year-old, has been accused of raping a teenage girl nearly 40 years ago.
‘Mr Lockwood has been charged with six counts of indecent assault and three offences of rape against a girl under the age of 16, alleged to have been committed during the 1980s.
The Crown Prosecution Service reminds all concerned that criminal proceedings against Mr Lockwood are active and that he has the right to a fair trial’ CPS said on Friday.
