Explore History, Stop Making Incorrect Assertions, Community Advocate Tells Salome Kisira

A community advocate, who is an indigene of Baruten local government, Kwara State, Hajiya Husseinat Boriya has reacted to the statement issued by the daughter of late Elder Peter Kisira , Barrister Salome Bake Kisira on Saturday submitting that she made incorrect assertions.
Elder Peter Kisira served as Deputy Governor of Kwara State between 2011 and 2019. He died on March 30, 2024, at the age of 74.

In a statement she issued in Ilorin and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Sunday, Hajiya Husseinat picked holes in the assertions made by Salome that the people of Kwara North fared badly under past administrations in the state and that they are now having it good under Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.
Salome, the statement noted, had also submitted that the Kwara North people were made second-class citizens sort of under past administrations.

‘It is sad to note that Salome could list a radio station and a new market in Gbugbu as achievements that in her reasoning can erase the legacy projects of the past administrations which her father, Elder Kishra was part of.
Our sister did not explore history and that was why she got misled and said so many things that are incorrect. Salome should ask her kinsmen about Chikanda-Kosubosu-Okuta-Ilesha Baruba road project. Construction of market is the duty of local governments and it is disappointing that such could be compared to 125.5 kilometre road project.
The past administrations also had a political family that produced her kinsman as Minister of Transport, and made her father a deputy governor after retiring as Permanent Secretary and was probably planning to return home but in all of these, she has seen Gbugbu market as the reason why we have now become first class citizens.
Her father served as Deputy Governor for eight years and she is now saying her father’s eight years in government was a waste!
Barely a year after losing her father, the daughter of the late former deputy governor, a lawyer herself, made such surprising comments. Despite her father’s active involvement in the previous administration, she has condemned its achievements. In contrast, she praised Governor Abdulrahaman for a market initiative, specifically mentioning the Gbubu market just because of pecuniary rewards! This is laughable.
While Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq is busy cherishing and protecting his father’s legacy- Government High School, Adeta, Salome is busy rubbishing her father’s legacy because of what personal gain.
While she has a right to do whatever she likes, we advise her to explore history and ask questions before making incorrect statements in the future’ the statement concluded-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
