Family Commends Saraki For Making Efforts To Save Abdullateef Ango’s Life, Seeks Support For His Children
The Dauda Descendants Progressive Union, Pakata, Ilorin, has sought support for the children of late Hon. Ango Abdul-Lateef especially in respect of their academic pursuits.
The family in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by Ango Surajudeen commended former Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki for making good efforts to save the life of the deceased young politician.
‘On behalf of the entire family, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported our dear son, Hon. Ango Abdul-Lateef, during his medical journey. Special appreciation goes to Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki for his swift and compassionate intervention, covering hospital bills and pledging to cover all surgical expenses.
His promise to handle the entire cost of the surgery was relayed through Hon. Musa Aliyu, the North Central Regional Director, ABS Foundation, who visited us at the hospital in Ilorin and released ₦500,000 to facilitate Abdul-Lateef’s transfer to Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) for urgent care. This kind gesture enabled us to conduct necessary medical tests and prepare for surgery in Lagos.
Tragically, despite these efforts, Hon. Ango Abdul-Lateef passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025, due to cardiac arrest. May Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus. We remain deeply thankful to Dr. Saraki and the ABS Foundation for their support.
We also appreciate AIG Salman Dogo, Alhaji Tajudeen Yusuf Alada, Alhaji Abdulrazzak Shuayb Babamanle, other donors, and all who rallied around us during this trying time. May Allah reward your support and kindness abundantly.
Hon. Ango Abdul-Lateef, who has since been laid to rest according to Islamic rites, is survived by aged mother, two wives, and ten children, many of who are still in primary and secondary schools.
In this difficult moment, we humbly appeal to philanthropists, concerned citizens, and compassionate individuals to support his family, particularly in respect of the educational pursuits and the welfare of his children.
