Feb 14 Official Visit: Kebbi Govt Urges Residents To Give President Tinubu ‘Rousing Welcome’
Ahead of his visit to the ‘Land of Equity’ on Saturday, February 14, 2026, Kebbi State government on Wednesday urged residents of the state to give President Bola Ahmed Tinubu a rousing welcome.
President Tinubu is expected to visit the ‘Land of Equity’ to inaugurate major and people-oriented projects executed by the Governor Nasir Idris administration and also attend the 61st Argungu International Fishing and Cultural Festival which will begin today.
In a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Wednesday, the state Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed BK sought the cooperation and understanding of residents, urging them to showcase the usual hospitality that Kebbi State people have shown while hosting national and international dignitaries.
The president, he noted, will be inaugurating projects that include the Bola Ahmed Tinubu State Secretariat Complex, the Birnin Kebbi Central Motor Park, newly constructed township road networks, and the Argungu dual carriageway, among others, before attending the cultural festival.
Alhaji Ahmed disclosed that some roads within Birnin Kebbi metropolis and parts of Argungu would be temporarily closed to facilitate presidential movements in line with security protocols.
He therefore urged motorists and commuters to bear with the government for the short inconvenience noting that with international visitors already arriving for the festival, their conduct will shape global perceptions of Kebbi State.
