Former Kwara Deputy Gov, Peter Kisra, Dies In Ilorin…Gov AbdulRazaq Offers Condolences

Elder Peter Kisra, a retired Permanent Secretary , who served as Deputy Governor of Kwara state between 2011 and 2019 , is dead. He died in Ilorin at about 1am on Saturday .
The former Deputy Governor was recently discharged from the Unilorin Teaching Hospital , Ilorin, and he was taken to a private hospital after feeling unwell two days ago. He eventually breathed his last there.
An indigene of Baruten local government, it had become apparent to all that the late Kisra was battling an illness during Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed’s first term and some had reportedly sought to have him replaced ahead of the 2015 governorship election.

Kisra not only got renominated in 2015 and completed his second term, but he had also witnessed the first term and a part of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s second term before his passing on Saturday..
Team@orientactualmags.com gathered that it was common to hear people in the state political circle say he was living on borrowed time, but his case has actually made it a ‘proven fact’ that only God can decide when any of his creatures will die whether he or she is sickly or healthy.
The then sickly deputy governor’s aide de camp, Inspector Gaiya Jerry Mark had died unexpectedly on January 8 , 2014.
Kisra’s convoy had left his official residence for his office and they had a smooth ride until the convoy got to a place adjacent the deputy governor’s office. An okada rider rode rough and almost made the convoy record an accident. Attempts to get the man apprehended by the security men in the rear vehicle failed and he rode rougher to escape.
The ADC in annoyance ordered his driver to go after the okada rider who continued to maneuver his ways until he got to the UBA axis of the Iloffa road where he (Mark) eventually caught up with him. Tragedy was launched as the dutiful police officer on alighting from his car to apprehend the okada rider suddenly collapsed and he was immediately rushed to the nearby Civil Service Clinic where he was declared as a BID (Brought in Dead) patient. The okada rider, who was also shocked by the sudden development and had seen it all in a movie-like manner, quickly ran away.
A veteran journalist and a jolly good fellow, Mr. Timothy Nathaniel, who at different times , served as Kisra’s Chief Press Secretary and Director of Protocol, also died a few weeks ago.
The former Deputy Governor died at 74 on Saturday and mourners have begun to visit his Fate, Ilorin residence to offer their condolences.
