Former Reps Candidate, Ex-Deputy Speaker Leave PDP For APC In Kwara

Two Kwara state PDP big wigs ,who are popular politicians  in the  Kwara North; Hon.Abubakar Suka Baba and Alh Abubakar Musa alias Biology left the party for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on Sunday.

Baba, a one-time  deputy speaker of the state House of Assembly, and Musa, a former state chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers and  the Baruten/Kaiama PDP House of Representatives candidate in the 2019 general election , officially defected  to the APC at a colourful ceremony in Kaiama, headquarters of Kaiama local government on Sunday.

A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com noted that the state  APC chairman , Prince Sunday Fagbemi and other party officials attended the defection ceremony.

The chairman of Alliance for Sustainable Kwara (ASK), Malam Razaq Lawal and some members of the association also joined the state  APC chairman in receiving Baba and  Musa into the party.

In their separate remarks, Baba and Musa said they were motivated to join the APC because of the noticeable infrastructure development in Kwara north since the  Governor AbdulRahman  AbdulRazaq administration came into being in 2019.

They noted that the APC administration has brought hope to the hitherto neglected people of Kwara north , ‘ as our area is now getting its fair share of infrastructure while our people are also being appointed to key positions of authority ‘.

The state APC chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi assured the two former PDP bigwigs  of equal treatment with the  old members, submitting  that APC is big enough to accommodate all well- meaning politicians from every part of the state.

Fagbemi thanked Governor AbdulRazaq for implementing people- oriented policies and programmes which have continued to attract more prominent politicians from the opposition parties  to the ruling APC.

He urged the people of the state to continue to support the AbdulRazaq  administration as a way of appreciating  the good job that ‘the governor is doing’-Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
