Fraud Case: Former NEXIM Bank MD Robert Orya Gets 490-Year Sentence
Former Managing Director of the Nigerian Export-Import Bank (NEXIM), Robert Orya has gotten a 490-year sentence
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Justice F. E. Messiri of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Abuja declared him guilty of multiple fraud-related charges filed against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Thursday.
Orya, who headed the financial institution between 2011 and 2016, was accused of misusing N2.4 billion.
EFCC had Samuel Ugwuegbulam as its counsel and the presiding judge, Justice F. E. Messiri found Orya guilty on all charges. He got a 10-year sentence for each of the charges.
