Fresh Clue Emerges As Police Probe Death Of Pregnant Ilorin Housewife Who Was Killed And Had Her Body Dismembered

A fresh clue has emerged as police continued probe into the death of a pregnant woman, Esther Enemo, who was brutally murdered and had her body dismembered in Temidire 4, Egbejila, Ilorin, Kwara State capital, last month.

Recall that while many had asked questions and involuntarily provided probable answers, some had however insinuated that it was a case of ritual killing.

Recall also that vigilant neighbours had noticed that blood was falling in drops from the polythene bag the victim’s brother-in-law, Mr. Sylvester Enemo, was carrying and had subsequently raised the alarm.

Many had leapt to conclusions that he was the killer and that Esther’s husband, Mr Ekene Enemo, who had left Ilorin for Kwara North, was innocent.

Presiding over the press conference held at the police headquarters, Ilorin on Thursday which was attended by journalists including Team@orientactualmags.com, the state police chief, Mr. Adekimi Ojo, a Commissioner of Police, made a shocking disclosure that the deceased woman’s husband had a hand in her death.

‘On 22/08/2025 at about 1500hrs, one Ahmed Salman ‘M’ of Temidire 6, off Egbejila community, reported at Budo Nuhu Police Station that on the same day at about 0630hrs, he challenged somebody who was locking the door of his neighbour while the wife, popularly called ‘Iya Ibo’ was still inside. The person introduced himself as the younger brother to the owner of the house, one Mr. Ekene Enemor, who is based in Moshe Gada village via Kaiama along with his family.

Mr. Ahmed Salman was not satisfied with the explanation. He then knocked on the door to call Mrs. Esther but got no response. In the process, he saw traces of bloodstains on the fence and on the wall of the house. He raised the alarm which attracted other neighbors. A search was conducted around the house and, tragically, the mutilated body of Mrs. Esther Enemor was found— from the neck to waist, without her head and both hands.

Further combing of the environment led to the recovery of another part of her body — from the waist to the thigh —which was discovered hidden under a culvert in the area, also without her legs. Upon report of the incident, the deceased woman’s husband was contacted at Moshe Gada village, Kaiama, while his younger brother, Sylvester Enemor ‘M’, of the same village, was also arrested. The case was transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department and Mr. Ekene Enemor, the deceased woman’s husband, was also arrested.

During comprehensive interrogation, it was discovered that he had a direct hand in the death of his wife. He has confessed to committing the crime. Investigation is ongoing to track and apprehend other suspects currently at large’ he said.

Adekimi Ojo also disclosed that a resident of Ilorin, Mr. Adeola Badru has been arrested for ‘obtaining money under false pretense’ and will soon have charges preferred against him.

‘On 30/06/2025, a case of criminal breach of trust, forgery and obtaining money under false pretense was reported through a petition written by one Joseph Olugbenga ‘M’ of Gaa-Odota, Ilorin. He reported that sometime in February 2023, the suspect, Mr. Adeola Badru, approached and introduced himself to the complainant, Mr Joseph Olugbenga.

The suspect claimed to be a seasoned politician and a very influential person with direct access to many top politicians in Nigeria, and further assured that he could assist the complainant to secure political appointment of his choice at the federal level. Based on trust, the complainant released, in tranches, the sum of Three Hundred Million Naira (#300,000,000.00) to the suspect, believing his promise to facilitate his appointment as a member of the SouthWest Development Commission.

Subsequently, the suspect blocked all communication channels, preventing the complainant from reaching him. Upon receipt of the petition, cops carried out his arrest and the state police Command is carrying out further investigation, and at the conclusion of our findings, the suspect will have charges preferred against him’ the CP added-Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
