Ga nu si Comments: No Apology Needed Coz ‘I Did No Wrong’-Wasiu Ayinde

Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, a popular fuji musician, has reacted to the viral video that has made him be in the spotlight clarifying and submitting that there is no need for him to apologize to anyone since he did not intend any offence.
Recall that the comments he made during the preparations for the fidau prayer held for his late mother, Alhaja Halima Shadiya Anifowoshe in Ijebu-Ode on Friday, January 24, 2025, had sparked reactions.

‘Alfas will not go to my father’s house for the party, It’s in my house that they will ‘Ga nu si’. Then, we will pray in my house before going back to my father’s house for the main party’ the popular fuji musician had said in the viral video in question.
In common parlance, ‘Ga nu si’ means ‘to wait in anticipation for something’ and some social media users had leapt to conclusions that he meant that the ‘alfas’ were eagerly waiting to ‘collect money’.
It created a mental image of people opening their mouths and finding it difficult to stay seated.
The Grand Mufti of Ilorin, Sheikh Suleiman Faruq Onikijipa, who delivered a short sermon at the event, had commented on this and explained that Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde did not mean to insult Islamic clerics while urging him to apologize to the Alfas.
The popular fuji musician however noted that offering an apology is not needed because it would somewhat imply that he had truly offended the Islamic clerics which might be counterproductive. He has insisted that he did not intend any offence.
‘To admit guilt means saying, ‘Okay, don’t be angry.’ But there’s no reason for that because I have done nothing wrong. If you admit guilt, you are saying the accusations are true, and they are not’ he said.
K1 and Sheikh Sulaiman Onikijipa have a close and excellent relationship.
Shortly after janazah was held for his late mother in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, Wasiu Ayinde left for Lagos immediately to perform at the wedding reception of the Islamic cleric’s daughter at Balmoral, Federal Palace, Victoria Island, Lagos State-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
