Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq will soon inaugurate the first phase of the Gbugbu International Market and it will consequently be made available for public use.
This development, will ,no doubt, improve business activities in Gbugbu, Edu Local Government, where the market is located and the entire Kwara North.
The first phase of the project comprises 200 open stores and 22 lock-up shops — complete with electrical fittings and water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) facilities in order to ensure a healthy trading environment.
Below are the ‘Then and Now’ pictures of Gbugbu market.
The Governor’s media office in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com noted that Abdulrasaq had not only submitted that a quality job had been done but also added that the next two phases will include an abattoir, a police station, a fire station, a car park, an administrative office, among others.
Making the new market available for public use will according to him have multiplier effects on the local economy- Team@orientactualmags.com
