Gombe LG Caretaker Chairman Dies In Egypt
The Chairman, Caretaker Committee, Gombe Local Government, Alhaji Aliyu Haruna, is dead.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Haruna , who passed away in Egypt on Tuesday , died at 58.
The state governor, Mr Muhammadu Yahaya in a statement issued by the Director-General of Press Affairs, Ismaila Misilli, submitted that he received the news of Aliyu’s demise with profound sadness.
‘It is with deep sorrow that we announce the demise of Alhaji Aliyu Usman Haruna, the caretaker chairman of Gombe Local Government Council’ Yahaya said.
He described Aliyu’s death as a monumental loss, not only to his family but to the state and Nigeria as a whole.
Yahaya also called the deceased politician a confidant, honest and loyal associate.
He also described Alhaji Haruna as a humble, humane, and remarkable politician and a leader who has served the nation diligently in various capacities, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of many.
He extended his heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the deceased politician , the people of Gombe Local Government, and the entire state.
‘Alhaji Aliyu Haruna’s leadership qualities and his commitment to the welfare of his people were evident throughout his services as elected and Caretaker Chairman of Gombe Local Government Council, as well as in many other positions he has held.
As we mourn this huge loss, we pray that Almighty Allah overlook his shortcomings and reward his good deeds with Aljannat Firdaus’ the statement said.
Alhaji Aliyu Haruna, popularly called Ali Ashakaa , who was born on June 2, 1965, is survived by two wives and sixteen children-Team@orientactualmags.com
