Good Performance: Okoro Ends 10- Day Cycling Trip From Damaturu To Asaba…I’ll Not Disappoint Deltans –Gov Oborevwori
Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta state has received Samuel Erukoghene Okoro, who had embarked on a 10-Day cycling trip from Damaturu , Yobe state to Asaba to meet with him.
A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com noted that Okoro, an indigene of Orhuwhorun , Udu Local Government , Delta state, who is a resident of Damaturu, had left the Yobe state capital on Saturday, December 9, and arrived in Asaba on Wednesday ,December 20.
Welcoming the cyclist, Governor Oborevwori congratulated him for having a safe journey and assured that he would continue to deliver the dividends of democracy to Deltans who have entrusted him with their votes.
‘Cycling from Damaturu in Yobe state to Delta state for 10 days is a big risk and I want to assure all Deltans that with all the love and risk people took to support me, I will not disappoint them.
I know times are tough but we are trying our best and in the past six months we have done quite a lot.
People have stakes in this government, the youths, the women and even residents. I want to assure you that the peace we are enjoying now in this state, we will sustain it and we will do more for Deltans.
There will be more infrastructural and human capital development. So ,we will do our best’ he said.
Earlier, Okoro had noted that he was motivated to embark on the cycling trip by the superlative performance of Governor Oborevwori within his first six months in office.
‘I started this journey on December 9 and I started it from Damaturu, Yobe state.
I was inspired by the works of Governor Oborevwori in the state. I flipped through Facebook and Google to see many of his numerous projects.
So, I decided to go for a 1,200 km bicycle ride in his honour and today I am grateful to God for arriving here successfully’ he said.
