Gov AbdulRazaq Hails Oloriegbe’s Appointment As NHIA Chairman, Thanks President Tinubu

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State has sent his hearty congratulations to Dr Ibrahim Yahya Oloriegbe on his ‘deserving appointment’ as chairman of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA).

Governor AbdulRazaq in a statement issued in Ilorin and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com  by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Rafiu Ajakaye noted that the appointment perfectly fits the appointee, given his background as a medical professional, his passion for the health sector, and his achievements as chairman of the Senate Committee on Health. 

‘Governor AbdulRazaq expresses his profound gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for the honour that this appointment — like the previous ones — represents for the people of the state, especially members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). 

The governor is confident that Senator Oloriegbe will bring his wealth of experience, network, and goodwill to make the NHIA greater and more beneficial to the people. 

Governor AbdulRazaq prays that God gives the Senator all he needs to succeed in the new role, urging every stakeholder in the subsector to support the new chairman of the NHIS’ the statement added.

Dr Oloriegbe  a medical doctor, was born on November 12 ,1960. He received Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery Degree (MB.BS) from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1985 and he had distinctions in Human Physiology, Biochemistry, Community Medicine and Laboratory Medicine.

He was the majority leader and  Chairman, Committee on Health and Chairman, Committee on Local Government , Kwara state House of Assembly from 1999 to 2003.
