Gov AbdulRazaq, Speaker Danladi Mourn Falilat Akanbi’s Passing, Condole Veteran Journalist Tunde Akanbi

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State has commiserated with the state chairman of the National League of Veteran Journalists (NALVEJ), Alhaji Tunde Akanbi and his family on the death of their matriarch, Hajia Falilat Ajibike Akanbi-Oriokoh.
Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Engineer Yakubu Danladi-Salihu has also expressed sadness over the demise of Hajia Akanbi Ori-Okoh.
Hajia Falilat Akanbi- Ori-Okoh died on Tuesday at the age of 91 and the janazah (Islamic funeral prayer) was held for her at the Muslim Cemetery, Osere, Ilorin on Wednesday.
The fidau prayer is scheduled to hold at the deceased nonagenarian’s Ori-Okoh family residence on Friday.
In a condolence message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Rafiu Ajakaye, the governor urged Alhaji Tunde Akanbi to take solace in the fact that his mother lived an exemplary life of service to God and humanity.
The governor extended his condolences to the Ori-okoh compound of Ilorin Emirate on the development, which came only a few weeks after they lost an illustrious daughter, Hajia Aminat Modupe Ibrahim.
He prayed Allaah to grant the deceased person and all her brethren al-jannah Firdaus, and uphold the family upon goodness.
In a condolence message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr AbdulKadir Yusuf, Speaker Danladi-Salihu also sympathized with the veteran journalist over the passing of his mother urging him to take solace in the fact that Hajia Falilat ,a virtuous woman, dedicated her life to service to God and humanity.
He prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased nonagenarian while asking God to comfort everyone who mourns the painful loss.
The National League of Veteran Journalists (NALVEJ), Kwara State chapter, has also mourned the demise of Hajia Falilat Akanbi- Ori-Okoh.
NALVEJ in a statement issued by its Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Abdulahi Olesin described the death of Hajia Akanbi Ori-Okoh as painful, her old age notwithstanding, while noting that she will be sorely missed by members of her immediate and extended families, both at her place of birth and among her husband’s relatives because of her peaceful and kind disposition to all and sundry.
Describing Hajia Akanbi Ori-Okoh as a virtuous woman and community- spirited person ,the league noted that she raised all her children to become great personalities who are in their different ways contributing to the development of Kwara State and Nigeria as a whole.
The league commiserated with the immediate and extended families of the deceased nonagenarian and prayed Allah to grant them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss of a golden mother while asking Allah to forgive and grant Hajia Akanbi Ori-Okoh Aljanah Firdaus.
