Gov AbdulRazaq Visits Families Of Late Peter Kisira, Adebara Durotoye, Rafiu Ibrahim In Ilorin

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara state paid a condolence visit to the family of late Elder Peter Ƙisira in Ilorin on Thursday.

Kisira, a former Deputy Governor of Kwara state,  died on 30th March, 2024.

The governor  was received by Mrs Felicia Kisira and other members of the family at their Ilorin GRA residence. 

Governor AbdulRazaq was in Saudi Arabia for the lesser Hajj when the incident happened, and he had earlier sent his condolences through a press statement.

‘I am here to sympathize with you over the loss of His Excellency former deputy Governor, Peter Kisira. He had served the state well and left a good legacy. We pray for the repose of his soul. We equally pray that God gives you and the children the fortitude to bear the loss’ a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by Mr. Rafiu Ajakaye quoted the governor to have submitted before signing the book of condolence .

Mrs Felicia thanked the governor for his support when the family needed it  most, commending his focus and silent works that have continued to turn around the state.

‘We appreciate Your Excellency for the visit. We have been hearing about you as a kind father, and we can testify to that. We are grateful because you came to our aid when we needed you. 

Some of us are following your achievements. You have oppositions, but they are there to encourage you to do more. As you are a quiet achiever, continue to do good. When you leave, people will realize it and posterity will not forget you. May the Lord continue to be with you, sir’ she said.

The governor paid a similar visit to the Chief Judge of Kwara state, Justice Biodun Ayodele Adebara over the loss of his father, Pa Adebara Adio Durotoye. 

‘On behalf of the government and the people of the state, we have come to sympathize with you over the loss of Baba. All we can pray for is the forgiveness of his sins and God’s mercies. May his soul rest in peace’ he told the Adebaras.

Governor AbdulRazaq also visited the Ilorin residence of former Senator Rafiu Ibrahim, who died on Wednesday, to pay his last respects. 

‘As Muslims, we just pray that May Allah grant him Al-jannah Firdauz. We all belong to God, and we will go back to him at our appointed time. His children should emulate their father. He has set a fine example and left a huge shoe for them to fill’ the governor said.

Justice Adebara, in his submission, appreciated AbdulRazaq for his caring and loving heart while praising his leadership style both in the state and at the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF).

‘His Excellency is a person with a caring and loving heart. He is a person who loves everyone around him. We sincerely thank you for finding time to come to commiserate with us on the demise of our father’ the Chief Judge said. 

Former Chairman, Kwara state Internal Revenue Service, Prof Muritala Awodun, who spoke on behalf of  the Ibrahim family, thanked the governor for identifying with the family at this trying period. 

The governor was received at the Senator’s house by some leaders of the state Peoples Democratic Party and family members.
