
Governor Nurudeen Ademola Jackson Adeleke has announced a medical outreach programme that will impact the lives of Osun state citizens-18,000 people are expected to enjoy free surgery and medical treatments.
Chairman of the Implementation Committee, who is also the Chief Medical Director of Uniosun Teaching Hospital, Professor Peter Olaitan, made this known during the press conference he presided over at the boardroom of the hospital which was attended by journalists including Team@orientactualmags.com .
He listed diseases to be treated to include cataract, pterygium, diabetes, hypertension, lipoma, keloid, ganglion, hernia among others.
He noted that the medical outreach programme will be carried out at all the nine federal constituencies in the state on the basis of 2,000 beneficiaries per federal constituency.
Olaitan urged residents and citizens of Osun state to take advantage of the state government’s gesture of goodwill and utilize the opportunity made available through the medical outreach programme.
