Gov Adeleke Approves N1.6b Bond Certificates For Osun Retirees
Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun state has approved the release and distribution of bond certificates worth one billion, six hundred and twenty-five million, three hundred and thirty-two thousand, eight hundred and thirty-five naira, seventy-five kobo (N1,625,332,835:75) to retirees in the state under the contributory pension scheme.
Permanent Secretary, Local Government Staff Pension Bureau, Mr Ibrahim Akibu disclosed this in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Wednesday.
The beneficiaries, he noted, are 182 retired primary school teachers and 164 former Local government workers.
The presentation ceremony is scheduled to hold on Thursday, 21st December, 2023, at the Local Government Service Commission building.
Mr. Akibu added that the presentation of the bond certificates is ‘a continuation of the commitment of the state government to welfare of workers, in and out of service’.
‘This is another phase in fulfillment of Governor Adeleke’s open resolve to clear backlogs of salaries, pension and emoluments issues within the public service’ he said
