Gov Adeleke Attends Nasfat Ramadan Lecture In Osogbo, Orders Immediate Construction Of Hajj Camp

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun state has ordered immediate construction of Hajj Camp in the state.

The governor’s spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed noted in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com  that  Adeleke, who  said this while giving his speech during  the  Nasfat Ramadan lecture in  Osogbo during the weekend, submitted that it is unacceptable  that Osun is the only state in the South West without a hajj camp.

He has therefore promised to lay the foundation stones of the Hajj Camp before the commencement of the next holy pilgrimage exercise.

‘I was told Osun is the only state in the South West without a hajj camp. This must no longer be the case. If the previous government has done nothing about this, we have a duty to provide a befitting camp. Osun must not be left out’  the governor submitted.

The statement added that he has consequently directed relevant government agencies to sit down with the Osun state Muslim community leaders and come up with appropriate location and further compliance processes.

The governor, who joined in the drumming of ‘bandiri’ drums ,chronicled his administration’s many projects and programmes  and assured the Muslim faithful that he ‘is in office to serve the people’.

‘I am in office to serve the people. I am your servant. The voters are the masters. We the elected are the servants. I have that reality right. And that is why my efforts and focus are on serving the people.

I refused to collect security votes. I said we should use it for infrastructures. Almighty Allah has blessed me and my family before getting into this office. Our focus is to deepen the good name of my family by genuinely serving the people.

I am completing abandoned projects and I am executing new ones. I am after good name. Our government is for the people, not for self-enrichment as  it was in the past’  the governor added.

Governor  Adeleke , who was accompanied  to the event by Secretary to the State Government , Hon Teslim Igbalaye;  Speaker Adewale Egbedun and members of the State Executive Council listened all through the lecture that was  delivered by Sheikh AbdulRazaq Aduagba, an Ilorin-based popular Islamic scholar.

The  Islamic cleric urged  the governor to continue his good work of developing the state as was done by his late brother, Alhaji Isiaka Adeleke   saying  ‘the people as at today trust and love you’.

‘You are serving them well and they are happy with you. Continue to deliver good governance to  the people. Allah is your strength’ he added–Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us? Do you want us to cover your event or programme?
