Gov Adeleke Flags Off Imole Mobile Medical Outreach Programme In Iwo, Gets Rousing Welcome
Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun state has flagged off the Imole mobile medical outreach programme in Iwo, Osun West senatorial district.
The governor’s media team in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com said he got a rousing reception adding that ecstatic residents cheered his motorcade at Ori-Eru , Odo-Ori market and other areas in the ancient town including the General Hospital, Iwo – venue of the event.
Giving his speech, Governor Adeleke said the medical outreach programme was in line with his philosophy that ‘it takes a healthy nation to have a wealthy nation’, adding that his administration has resolved to continue to take necessary steps to improve the health of the people.

‘One of the ways we plan to assist our people is to bring health care to their doorsteps. The current medical and surgical outreach programme is designed to achieve this.
The outreach is designed to take care of surgical cases including Cataracts, Hernia and some swellings on the body.
It will also take care of medical cases like Hypertension, Diabetes, Malaria and lots more.
The Government has provided adequate medications for this exercise and we shall make eye glasses available to those that may require them.
Our administration earlier last week approved the periodic payment of salaries owed to the workers. We are therefore convinced that our doctors and other health workers in the State are in a very high spirit. They are well- motivated to ensure the success of this programme’ he added.
Governor Adeleke also said his administration will soon come up with a robust medical agenda for the people of the state, assuring them of government’s commitment to improving their conditions by prioritizing public health and investing wisely in this respect.

“We are upgrading our health facilities. We are working on new ideas like telemedicine among others.
I commend all members of the Committee and health workers under Professor Peter Babatunde Olaitan’s leadership for their sacrifices in this call to duty’ he noted.
Governor Adeleke later visited the Reality TV Station , Iwo, which he described as being in a deplorable state while lamenting that the neglect of the facility, which houses a television station and a radio station, stating his administration’s readiness to fix the facility in order to drive benefits for the state and the community where it is located- Team@orientactualmags.com
