Gov Adeleke Launches 2023 Armed Forces Emblem In Osogbo, Promises Continued Support For Families Of Fallen Military Personnel

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun state has assured families of fallen military personnel that the state government will ensure continued support for them while adding that military veterans will also continue to receive ‘our support’ in recognition of their service to the fatherland.

Adeleke’s spokesman, Mr. Olawale Rasheed noted in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com  that the governor said this on Thursday during the launch of the appeal fund for the 2023 Emblem as part of the activities marking the Armed Forces Remembrance Day.

The programme was held at the Local Government Service Commission Hall, Abere, Osogbo.

‘We are gathered here as in other capitals across the country to place our debt of gratitude on record to our fallen heroes who paid the supreme sacrifice.

The stability of the nation rests on the gallantry, patriotism and sacrifice of the security and military services. Service personnel of the armed forces in particular are in many volatile sectors of the society confronting and curtailing open and subtle threats to the territorial integrity of the country, because we must live, many had offered their precious lives, and we must therefore continue to acknowledge the contribution of the armed forces to the survival of the nation.

As we gather here today, I reassure the military service of the commitment of our government to expanding the present level of partnership. Our administration has a security sector reform which places welfare of service personnel at the centre stage.

Today, I recommit to the well- being of our service personnel. Our veterans and their families will continue to receive our support in recognition of their service to the fatherland’ he said.

Governor  Adeleke later donated N5 million at the event which had Speaker Timothy Owoeye, the SSG, Hon Teslim Igbalaiye among attendees- Team@orientactualmags.com
