Gov Adeleke Makes Clarification On Who’s ‘First Lady’ As Titilola Adeleke Says Osun People Are Eager To Extend Hearty Welcome To Remi Tinubu Tomorrow
Wife of Osun state governor, Chief (Mrs) Titilola Adeleke has described Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu’s planned visit to Osogbo, the state capital , tomorrow, Tuesday, April 23, 2024 , as yet another important opportunity to be maximized to the fullest because of the many goodies associated with such a visit for the growth and development of the people of the state, especially women, and the children.
A statement made available toTeam@orientactualmags.com by the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kola Alimi noted that Mrs. Adeleke said this while addressing members of the special committee put in place by her husband, Governor Ademola Adeleke ahead of the visit of the mother of the nation to Osun state on Tuesday.
Expressing her delight about the good arrangements put in place so far by the committee in line with what she described as the hospitable disposition of the Government and people of the state to a very important personality like the wife of the President, Mrs Adeleke used the opportunity to also restates her commitment to making the visit a momentous and memorable one for Mrs Tinubu who she called mother of Modern Nigeria.
‘Senator Oluremi Tinubu’s impacts in the lives of the people of Nigeria especially the Women and Girls in the last few months of having her husband, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the nation’s president cannot be overemphasized.
For a good mother that places a high premium on the well-being of her children, it behooves all of us, therefore, to accord her a rousing welcome to our dear state on Tuesday.
I must use this opportunity to thank my dear husband, Senator Ademola Adeleke for giving the visit all necessary executive attention and importance that will further engender a cordial working relationship between the Osun state Government and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led Federal Government.
I want to use this medium to call on all lovers of growth and development of women and children as encapsulated in the Renewed Hope Initiative of our dear mother, Senator Oluremi Tinubu to come out in large numbers to receive the mother of modern Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu during Tuesday’s turning of sod ceremony called Alternative High School for Girls to be launched at Oke D. O Ilesha, Osogbo.
The best way to appreciate the love and magnanimity of The First Lady of Nigeria to us in Osun state, particularly for placing a high premium on women and girls is to come out in large numbers on Tuesday to receive her and her powerful delegation into the state warmly’ Mrs. Adeleke noted.
She had earlier recalled the magnanimity of The First Lady, who, a few months ago, made N200,000 each available to 250 elderly people in Osun state in addition to the free medical screening they also enjoyed courtesy of the Renewed Hope Initiative of Mrs. Tinubu.
In the meanwhile, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi, on behalf of the Special Committee put in place for the visit of the wife of the President to Osun state, has assured Mrs. Adeleke that all that is morally and officially required for a rousing welcome have been put in place, restating the resolve of the Committee and the State Government not to take such a national visit for granted.
Oluomo Alimi restated the commitment of the Committee to making the one-day visit colorful and memorable.
In separate statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com, by Governor Adeleke’s spokesperson, Mr Olawale Rasheed , it was clarified that Chief (Mrs.) Titilola Adeleke is officially the First Lady of Osun state and would be receiving Mrs Remi Tinubu during her visit to the state tomorrow.
The statement also noted that the governor is excited that his former colleague in the 8th senate would be visiting the state tomorrow.
‘The attention of Mr Governor has been drawn to fake news in circulation about conflict over who among the governor’s two wives will host the First Lady of Nigeria, Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu during her official visit to the state tomorrow.
For clarification purposes, Chief (Mrs) Titilola Adeleke, the First Lady of Osun state, is officially hosting the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria tomorrow in line with the directive of Mr Governor. There is no confusion in respect of this official position.
The flier in circulation purportedly from the Office of Erelu Ngozi Adeleke, the wife of the state governor, is fake news and the person behind it was arrested and questioned last night.
The said flier was never authorized by Erelu Ngozi Adeleke. The material was manufactured and shared by elements who wanted to sow discord and create an atmosphere of confusion.
The state government under Governor Ademola Adeleke’s leadership is set to receive the First Lady and her team’ the statement said.
