Gov Adeleke Seeks To End Fuel Scarcity In Osun, Appoints Chief Of State As Head Of Monitoring Team

Worried over the hardships Osun state residents had faced as a result of the scarcity of fuel, which had been the same situation across the country since November last year, Governor Ademola Adeleke  on Friday announced the setting up of a Special Monitoring Team.

The governor’s spokesman, Mr Olawale Rasheed ,who announced this in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Friday, noted that  ‘this Special Monitoring team to be headed by the  governor’s Chief of Staff , Hon Kazeem Akinleye with members drawn from the  Police, DSS, Army, IPMAN, NUPENG, NLC, TDU and others  is to immediately commence the monitoring of distribution of PMS from point of delivery by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) to various discharge outlets in Osun state’.

The Governor further urged the Monitoring Team to liase with the major marketers for collaboration with the independent marketers to ensure that petroleum products are circulated across the state. 

While expressing unhappiness about the hardships facing people of the state, Governor Adeleke assured that the state government will support federal agencies and the private sector operators to address fuel scarcity in the state.
