Gov Aiyedatiwa Nominates Late Akeredolu’s Kinsman As Deputy Governor, Dissolves Cabinet

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the governor , who announced the nomination of Adelami, a former Deputy Clerk of the National Assembly, as deputy governor in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary , Mr Ebenezer Adeniyan, noted that the name of the new deputy governor has been transmitted to the state House of Assembly for approval.
‘His nomination will be announced by the House of Assembly later today’ the statement said.
‘All members of the cabinet are to immediately hand over to the Permanent Secretaries or the most senior administrative officers in their respective offices. All the affected officials are directed to hand over all government property in their possession.
The governor thanks the affected officials for their services and contributions to the development of the state’ he had earlier submitted in separate statement.
Adelami retired as Deputy Clerk at the National Assembly in April 2018. He hails from Owo, Owo Local Government. Adelami had sought to contest the APC gubernatorial primary election with his kinsman, late Akeredolu ahead of the 2020 guber election but later backed out of the race and declared support for the deceased former governor.
