Gov Akeredolu Inaugurates Orita-Olaiya Flyover Project In Osogbo, Says Gov Oyetola ‘ll Reclaim His Mandate Soon

Governor  Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state  has commended his Osun state counterpart , Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola for standing tall against all odds, including socioeconomic realities in  the running of the affairs of the state.

Akeredolu noted that Oyetola has done excellently well, saying nobody can beat his sterling record as far as trajectory of good governance is concerned in the history of Osun  state.

Akeredolu  also affirmed his  faith in God that Oyetola would ‘reclaim his mandate  soon’ while Governor Oyetola ,who spoke in the same vein, equally said   ‘It is covenant from God that will come to pass’.

Governor Oyetola’s media office in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com  noted that Akeredolu  said this on Thursday during a courtesy visit to the Governor  shortly before the inauguration of the iconic  Orita-Olaiya Flyover project  in Osogbo.

Governor Oyetola had invited his Ondo state counterpart for the inauguration of the flyover project.

‘I feel so convenient, I can see love when we all sit down as southwest Governors to discuss our development.

It is a great honour to be asked to come here to inaugurate the flyover. I really take it as a great honour. Thank you for giving me this honour. Immediately I got the invitation, I assured I would be here. You have done greatly in this State.

I mean greatly for that matter, and I wonder why a number of things happened, very strange things. You served, you sacrificed, and this will still happen. I know we are sometimes dealing with people that are not predictable.

All the roads, hospitals and lots more. I want to appreciate you, you have proved that with limited resources, you still cared for your people. For those close to this State, you have done wonderfully well. I can beat my chest on that.

Nobody can beat your record. As we are struggling to get this mandate back, know that the record you have gotten, nobody can beat it.

We know the number of roads you have done, Primary Healthcare Centres, security, you have done all, they are uncountable. Well, Just congratulate yourself, you have done well.

You have not only done well here, you are a reliable ally in our midst as Governors. You are quiet and when you take your decision, rely on Gboyega, he is very supportive.

Osun state cannot forget you forever.  By the grace of God, we will come back. God knows how He works. By the grace of God, we will come back to govern this State for a second term.

I appreciate your invite once again. Calling me to come here is not an entitlement, there are many that can do it, I see it as a great honour’ Akeredolu said.

In his short remarks, Governor Oyetola appreciated Governor Akeredolu for accepting the invitation to inaugurate the  Orita- Olaiya flyover project.

Oyetola ,who attributed the success of the project to the innovative approach to governance adopted by his administration, said despite the current socio-economic realities, his government was not deterred in providing the best for the people of the state in terms of infrastructure development.

Noting  that he has no regret coming to serve the state, Oyetola  added  that his mandate to serve for  a second term in office will be reclaimed as nothing promised by God goes unfulfilled.

‘Let me welcome my brother in whom I am well- pleased, to Osun.  I feel highly honoured to see my brother coming here today. We feel highly honoured coming here. He is our Commander and he has been able to pilot the affairs successfully.

I am particularly happy you came here. What is important is to serve. Whether you like it or not, you have been bestowed to serve. We are not restricted by the meagre resources at our disposal but we decided to apply Alternative Project Funding Approach.

I have no regret coming to serve. We see how we can bring innovation to the system, we have been creative enough, because we are coming from the private sector; it assisted us.

People doubted when we said we wanted to construct the flyover, which was completed within 12 months, but I can see that the doubting Thomases were the first to ply the road and the flyover.

I have invited immediate past Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, to inaugurate a number of roads too, as part of efforts to celebrate our colleagues. Every southwest Governor has done very well.

I have every hope that I will reclaim my mandate, it is a covenant from Almighty God and it will come to pass’  Oyetola added -Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
