Gov Bagudu Swears In Tukur Argungu As Acting Grand Khadi , Assigns Portfolios To New Commissioners
Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi state on Monday sworn in Dr. Tukur Sani Argungu as acting Grand Khadi of the state Shariah Court of Appeal while also assigning portfolios to the new commissioners.
Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Alhaji Babale Umar Yauri in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com noted that Hon Ibrahim Augie will oversee the Ministry of Finance, Hon. Abubakar Chika Ladan will be in charge of the Ministry of Works and Transport while Hon Abdullahi Muhammad Magoro will serve as Commissioner for Information and Culture .
Hon Abdullahi Muhammad Magoro will also be in charge of the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology.
Others are Hon Hassan Muhammad Shalla – Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Hon. Aminu Garba Dandiga – Ministry of Animal Health, Husbandry and Fisheries, Hon. Dr. Abba Sani Kalgo – Ministry of Budget and Economic Development, Hon Jafar Muhammad- Ministry of Health, Hon. Mamuda M. Wara – Ministry of Land and Housing while Hon. Hayatu A. Bawa will oversee the Ministry of Environment.
In another development, Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has also approved the appointment of Dr. Tukur Sani Argungu as Acting Grand Khadi of the state Shariah Court of Appeal , he succeeds Muktar Imam Jega, who has retired from the bench.
Argungun had since been sworn in at the Council Chamber, Government House, Birnin Kebbi with the Chief Judge of the State, Justice Suleiman Muhammad Amburs administering the oath of office.
Giving his speech, Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu congratulated the new Acting Grand Khadi, Dr. Tukur Sani Argungu and the Chief Judge, Justice Suleiman Muhammad Ambursa for the milestone recorded in the state Judiciary .
He described Dr.Tukur Sani Argungu, as an illustrious son of Kebbi state, who has had an excellent track record.
He acknowledged and commended Kebbi Judiciary under the Chief Judge, Justice Suleiman Muhammad Ambursa for helping to deliver justice in the State in spite of myriad of challenges.
‘ Part of the success recorded by Kebbi State is due to the efforts of the Judiciary’ he averred.
Earlier the Secretary to the State Government, SSG Babale Umar Yauri while presenting Dr.Tukur Sani Argungu to the Governor , had noted that the swearing in of Dr. Tukur Sani Argungu as acting Grand Khadi was sequel to the retirement of Muktar Imam Jega from the bench .
He said the new appointee was the most senior ranking Khadi, who has had a track record of performance in the Judiciary- -Team@orientactualmags.com
