Gov Fintiri Approves Payment Of N70,000 New Minimum Wage To Adamawa Workers
Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa state has approved the payment of the new National  minimum wage of N70,000  to state and local government workers in the state.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the state  NLC chairman, Comrade Emmanuel Fashe, who disclosed this on Monday, noted that this  decision was made during the meeting held  with labour leaders in the state.
Fashe told reporters after the meeting that the state government employees will receive the new national minimum wage this month, while that of the local government workers will start next month.
He explained that this will be implemented using the same consequential adjustment table used in 2019 for the previous N32,000 minimum wage, pending the release of updated guidelines from the National Salaries, Wages, and Income Commission.
‘Whatever the worker was getting as present national minimum wage of N32,000 as it applies to Adamawa state, that same will be applied in terms of percentages in implementation of the new minimum wage’ the NLC Chairman said.
Fintiri, he noted, had welcomed the N70,000 new minimum wage even before the release of the table from the National Salaries, Wages and Income Commission because he prioritizes the welfare of workers-Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
