Gov Fubara Thinks He’s Smart But We’re Battle-Ready-Wike
Despite the peace brokered between FCT minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike and the governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara by President Bola Tinubu, signs merged on Wednesday that there are renewed threats to the governor’s authority.
The minister on Wednesday accused the governor of not keeping to the terms of peace agreement that was a product of the closed-door meeting presided over by the president at the State House, Abuja in June 2025 while however submitting that he is battle-ready.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Barrister Nyesom Wike said this on Wednesday during a thank-you visit to the people of Tai Local Government, Rivers State.
He also said Governor Fubara thinks he is a smart politician while noting that he will soon make the terms of the peace agreement public.
‘After agreeing on something, you reneged and you think you are a smart politician? You are too clever by half.
Very soon, we will let Rivers people know what we agreed before Mr President. This agreement was not done anywhere it was before Mr President. If you can renege on what we agreed before Mr President, then who are we?
We are battle-ready. We were the original ‘mandate’ people. Don’t deal with people who cannot keep to agreements. And they tell you its politics, that politics will not work here again.
If they like, let them keep all the money, whether they have N600 billion or not. We have defeated people with money before. We will still defeat people with money. What matters is the people, it’s not money’ he said
