Gov Idris Approves N2.1b For Road Construction Projects In Badariya
Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has approved the construction of access roads and drainage systems in the Badariya area of Birnin Kebbi Local Government.
A formal agreement was signed by the state Commissioner for Works, Engr. ABDULLAHI Umar Faruq Muslim, on behalf of the State Government, and Bashar Shamaki, a representative of the construction firm, B-Tech Global Investment Services Limited at the Ministry of Works on Wednesday.
The commissioner explained during the signing ceremony that this will feature the construction of four roads with comprehensive drainage systems, spanning a total length of 2.145 kilometers.
The project cost is N2,174,633,033.21 billion and it is expected to be taken to completion within 18 months.
Engr. Muslim described Badariya as one of the most densely populated areas in the state capital, which made Governor Idris take the decision to construct additional road infrastructure to meet the needs of the residents and commuters.
The commissioner urged the construction firm to strictly adhere to the terms of the agreement and execute high quality job .

Engineer Muslim further announced that arrangements have been finalized for the payment of 40% mobilization fees, urging the contractor to move to project sites within two weeks.
‘This project aligns with the current administration’s commitment to grassroots development. It responds directly to the needs and aspirations of the people, reflecting the commitment of Governor Nasir Idris to positively impact lives’ he added.
Engineers from the Ministry of Works would according to him closely supervise and monitor the project to ensure strict compliance with the specifications.
